Karen's Bakery

This mural project was a blast to create for Karen's bakery. The mural covers a 9' window on the side of the building containing the bakery and the bake staff. It was designed to allow children to look through the Viewmaster and into the Bakery and watch the bakers do their stuff. Before I accepted the assignment I worked with the printer to see how my work would translate to the giant decal. The printer sent me a 2' decal of a cropped section of my work and when I saw that decal, I was totally on board.

Looks great. Is the dot resolution coarse so that people (bakers) can see out? Like a bus or building wrap?

Hey friends, Karen's Bakery is in Old Town Folsom , CA. Her bakery is at the top of a bike path running down the American River to Sacramento starting at the historic Folsom Rainbow Bridge. Karen is very cool and races her twin Porsche's on the weekends for the heck of it. She is considered the Oprah of baking in the Sacramento Basin.
Rob, yes it is the same material that they wrap cars in. It is an insanely cool contemporary print substrate.

Carl, the cup bike relates to the bike shop next door which hosts Diva Night, a sponsored event and social fund raiser which brings in over 700 Nor Cal riders. thx.

WAY cool! This digital mural thing is opening up doors to illustrators for assignments we could not have done otherwise. Really rally great!
Flying cake is a nice touch.
